About

I am currently working on a network analysis of public protest and civil participation in a South-Western German city. Project partners are KWI and Fraunhofer UMSICHT. The project itself is funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research.

One of my side projects is https://sites.google.com/site/historicalnetworkresearch/ Together with colleagues we try to accumulate relevant information in Network Analysis in the Historical disciplines and build ties between researchers.

My PhD thesis analyzed networks which supported persecuted Jews in Germany during the Second World War. Based on case studies, I examined how social interactions have affected and encouraged support actions within their respective social discourses.
I was part of the project "Frames of Reference of Help" at the Center for Interdisciplinary Memory Studies / Kulturwissenschaftliches Institut Essen.
